The Creative Brain

Your brain is one of the most fascinating wonders of the world! It is in control of your identity, how you see others, how you see the world, how capable you see yourself to be, and it has remarkable plasticity. Your brain has the ability to reorganize itself and form new neural connections in response to trauma, learning, and new experiences in a process known as neuroplasticity. It forms new connections between neurons as you learn new information, and this is one reason it is so important to continue to be open-minded and entertain new ideas as one gets older, so that the brain can remain flexible. Did you also know that your brain is meant to be "trained"? Yes! The brain is designed to be trained because it is a plastic organ that changes and grows with experience. Much like a puppy that is capable of learning new commands, the brain can also learn new commands and is designed to consciously take in new information via self-reflection, openness to new ideas and other ways of thinking, and is capable of understanding a plethora of information. Human beings aren't meant to stay the same. With every new experience, with every challenge, and with every trigger that comes up, the brain is capable of growth. Just like a muscle, your brain can get stronger through consistent effort and challenges.
