Rebalancing Your Chakras
Levels I-VII correlates to each chakra, beginning with your root chakra and working our way up. Each class dives deeply into the aspects that may block energy from flowing freely, and ways that you can practice opening and expanding your own energy. From the time you are en utero forward, you accumulate your mother's energy while growing in the womb by not only absorbing what she is eating and drinking, but also the emotional ranges of the 'background noise' of energy that she is experiencing. Upon your arrival onto the planet, you have experiences that shape you, mold your personality, and with each experience you either embrace life and learn to shift in a healthy manner, or you learn that people and the world are a place to be skeptical of. While exploring each chakra we explore what energy is stagnant via the experiences that you have had and the goal is to facilitate cognitive dissonance as we recalibrate each chakra back to its natural state of being. In this way, we aim to help you find ways back to center, providing insight into breaking patterns of the past so as to bring your power back to you. Outlined below you will find an in depth explanation to each class and the chakra that corresponds to it.
Exploring the Chakra Classes We Teach Here
Level I - Root Chakra (Stability)
You begin with Level I, the Root Chakra, or Muladhara. The root chakra speaks to your safety, security, your basic needs being met, and how grounded you feel. How you feel your emotional, physical, and mental needs were met in childhood shows up in how you move through life as an adult (until we decide to consciously change the pattern). Feeling loved, accepted, feeling a sense of belonging, and that your needs are met effortlessly are all a part of the root chakra. When the root chakra is in a balanced state, one feels a deep sense of connection to the earth, to self, and moves through life feeling a trust in the process. The saying: "I am right where I need to be at this moment in time. Nothing is actually wrong", is one way a person approaches life when the root chakra is balanced. The meaning here is to learn to release how one thinks things "should" go and embrace the flow of life.

Here are some ways you may feel energy shifts in the root chakra:
When in balance - feeling calm, centered, stable, and grounded. A deep connection to the earth and oneness. An abundant mindset, knowing that nothing meant for you will pass you by. You find it easy to get your needs met and you trust that the universe always provides. Knowing how to provide for yourself. A desire to eat nurturing, nourishing foods, especially root vegetables. Whole foods and preparing food for yourself are a joy to do, and there is a lack of desire for processed foods or fast food. A grounded sense of self and identity are not mixed up or confused with another. You feel safe, secure, and stable as you move through life. When in a relationship, you allow the other person to make their own decisions and you are allowed to have differences of opinion without trying to dominate the other.

When out of balance: feeling insecure, scattered, lethargic, and disconnected. Either highly emotional and wanting an escape, or shut down and numb. Anxiety, fear, victim-mindset, panic about the future, and a scarcity mindset. Controlling behaviors, manipulative, excessive anger (or the opposite - apathy), rumination about the future, rumination about the past, lack of fire, or excessive fire (rage, narcissistic behaviors, self-centered, unable to work well with others, stealing, etc). May stem from not feeling as though one's needs were met in childhood and a lack of connection with parent. May have had an unstable childhood and sent mixed messages, and this may continue into a pattern through relationships into adulthood where it "plays out" with the current partner.

NeXXus Prime offers a unique chakra program that aims to incorporate the psychological aspects that underlie the energetic experience. This class goes back to the basics and looks at habits, patterns of behavior, and survival instincts so as to bring those into consciousness. This class aligns with the quote: "One cannot change what one is not willing to confront." To shift and change habits and behavior, one gently confronts the habitual patterns. Once a pattern or habit is recognized, one can choose how they wish to move forward. By working on grounding activities, meditation, exploring energy that accumulates in the root chakra from past experiences, how your body and nervous system are always 'talking' to you, how the root chakra holds onto experiences from the past, how relationships play out via the root chakra, and recognizing your relationship to yourself is rooted in past experiences are all a part of the Root Chakra exploration experience. By discussing chakra rebalancing techniques, noticing your breathing patterns, nutrition needs for grounding, and CATT™ (Chakra Alignment Tapping Technique), we create a space for you to choose how you would like to move forward and create your life and world!

Level II - Sacral Chakra
Continuing with Level II, the Sacral Chakra, this is your emotional sensor. The meaning behind the sacral chakra is as follows - Sva: "One's own" or "self", Adhisthana: "Abode," "dwelling," or "seat". Putting this together, the sacral chakra allows you to empathically keep a sense of self while picking up external cues from your environment. The sacral chakra is of high importance because of the sensitivity for empaths in particular to pick up and absorb frequencies. The goal is to be able to stay connected to your true authenticity, creating healthy boundaries, while also realizing that there is energy all around you. This requires understanding sensitivity, awareness, staying calm and centered, and paying attention to your breathing patterns.

Level III - Solar Plexus Chakra
Coming into Level III, we focus on your Solar Plexus Chakra. While all of your chakras work in unison, especially the solar plexus, sacral, and root chakras are in close contact (as these are the lower three chakras, to do with the physical). When your sacral chakra receives information, the root and solar plexus chakra respond. For example, if the sacral chakra detects information about its environment this may cause a 'domino effect' into the other chakras. If there is anxiety that the sacral chakra detects, the root chakra (which governs survival instincts) activates the body's stress response. When the body's stress response becomes activated, information goes to the solar plexus chakra, which governs personal power, willpower, and an ability to move forward. The solar plexus chakra is linked to the nervous system (the celiac plexus - aka the "solar plexus" in anatomy - a major nerve center that controls digestion and stress responses) and responds to "fight/flight/freeze". This provides an essential bridge between your emotions and the body's automatic functions. According to chakra teachings, this is why when you have a "gut feeling", it is your nervous system processing emotions and signals, affecting confidence, personal power, and decision-making.
